About Trygve Lie Gallery Cultural Fund
Trygve Lie Gallery Cultural Fund is a project of the Norwegian Seamen’s Church in New York, with the goal of establishing a fund to support Norwegian cultural activity in New York. The Norwegian Seamen’s Church is in many ways New York’s ‘Norwegian Cultural Center’. Therefore, this project, undertaken in January 2006 by Eirik Fluge, Director of Cultural Programs and the Trygve Lie Gallery, at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church, and Hans-Petter Henschien, Managing Director in Henschien Insurance Services AS, was initiated. Monies from this fund shall be designated, in particular, for exhibitions in the Trygve Lie Gallery, but also for other programs and events in the Norwegian Church’s public spaces, such as concerts, theatrical performances, seminars, films and lectures.
