Thursday, October 14 we invite you to the opening reception of the exhibition s i l e n c e - artworks by Norwegian artist Helge Bøe. He is an ordained pastor and has worked as a seamen’s pastor in Houston, Texas, for some years. He now resides in Oslo, Norway, were he works halftime as a painter. Since the start of his career in fine art in the late nineties, Helge Bøe has had several solo exhibitions in Norway. Now he exhibits his works for the first time in the US.

This exhibition, with the title ”Silence”, contains 20 paintings in oil in addition to original stone-made litographies. His pictures reflect the variety of life from description of nature and still life to more sacral motifs and moods. Helge Bøe is focused on pictures that can open for the spiritual dimension in everyday life, and nurture the thought and belief. Many of his artworks, combined with the titles, deal with the crossroads between heaven and earth.

When: October 14th – November 14th, 2004.
Admission is free, and the exhibit is open to the public.
Opening hours: Monday – Thursday: 12-8. Friday - Sunday: 12-5.
