Håkon Bleken, born 1929. Håkon Bleken is one of the most famous contemporary Norwegian artists, and expresses himself through paintings and graphics, among other methods. His art is represented in many of the most prominent museums in Norway and he has been awarded with several important official comissions.

 


Ørnulf Opdahl, born 1944. Ørnulf Opdahl studied at the Norwegian Art Academy from 1962 to 1965 under Aage Storstein and Reidar Aulie. A central theme in his later works are dark, evocative landscapes from western Norway’s fjords, islands and coastline.

 


Kåre Tveter, born 1922. One of Norway’s finest painters of landscapes of the eastern part of Norway – especially winter landscapes. Lately he has been working a lot with the grandeur landscapes of Svalbard where he is also represented with a permanent exhibition.

 


Frans Widerberg, born 1934, has been one of the most prominent personalities in the Norwegian art world during the last thirty years or so. His extensive production consists mostly of pantings in oil, watercolors and prints. He is known for his motifs of landscapes and floating figures in clear and strong colors.
