States to live.
A
fine painter, Elfi von Kantzow Alvin has also designed
costumes and sets for theatrical productions both on Broadway
and in Stockholm. She has been an interior designer of homes,
restarurants, lobbies and offices. In addition, as founder
and chairperson of the Art Committee of the American Scandianvian
Society, she has been curator of more than 60 Scandinavian
art exhibits in New York, presenting the work of over 250
artists. Through these exhibitions, many emerging artists
from all five Nordic countries have been offered the opportunity
to show here in New York.
Elfi
von Kantzow Alvin, a Swedish-Austrian artist, studied art
and design in Budapest, Vienna, Stockholm, Milan, Paris
and New York. She has served as a tiredless member of the
American Scandinavian Society and is someone who has enriched
all with whom she comes in contact through her energy, creativity
and uplifting spirit.
The
American Scandianvian Society and the Trygve Lie Gallery
are grateful for the opportunity to recognize our friend
by paying tribute to her, both as a remarkable person, as
well as a distinguished professional in her field.
